Abstract

The main purpose of the study is to investigate innovative approaches to the juvenile delinquency’s prevention through the use of mediation to resolve social conflicts involving the minors and the use anthropo-social principles of Orthodoxy in mediation both at the preventive phase, and at the pre-jurisdiction stage of resolving legal conflict. The method applied in the observation allows to identify the behaviors inherent in adolescents in conflict situations. The method of a questionnaire survey provides an opportunity to determine the level of mediation competence of the participants of the studies. The method of an in-depth interview allowed to obtain the information regarding the structure of the social conflict involving the minors. The chosen discourse helped to identify the insufficiency of existing methods and practices for the juvenile delinquency’s prevention. The extension of the experimental database technology in mediation is also possible through the use of anthropo-sociological setups of traditional religious institutions. The chosen approach greatly enhances the methodology and practice of crime prevention. Its further criminological development will allow to make a practical contribution to the Russian and international experience of crime prevention at the phases of prevention and resocialization.
