Editor-in-Chief

Deputy Editors
Role: The Deputy Editors of the Journal of Advanced Research in Sports: Interdisciplinary Approach (JARSIA) provide academic and strategic leadership in their respective disciplinary domains. Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, they ensure that the journal’s interdisciplinary vision — connecting sports science, medicine, psychology, biomechanics, physiology, coaching, technology, management, education, and sociology — is consistently reflected in editorial decisions, peer review integrity, and long-term research impact. Each Deputy Editor supervises submissions, coordinates thematic special issues, and contributes to expanding the journal’s international collaborations and policy relevance.Support the Editor-in-Chief in coordinating thematic areas, special issues, and peer review quality control.
Core Responsibilities of Deputy Editors
▪ Strategic Oversight: Guide the thematic and methodological direction of the journal.
▪ Editorial Leadership: Supervise the work of Associate Editors and reviewers within their domains.
▪ Quality Assurance: Ensure scientific rigor, originality, and ethical integrity in all published work.
▪ Interdisciplinary Integration: Foster cross-domain collaboration.
▪ Outreach and Visibility: Represent JARSIA in international research networks, conferences, and policy dialogues.
▪ Ethics and Transparency: Uphold COPE standards and contribute to JARSIA’s ongoing alignment with global best practices in scholarly publishing.
All Deputy Editors operate under the direct coordination of the Editor-in-Chief, forming the Editorial Leadership Committee, which:
▪ Meets quarterly to review journal strategy, performance, and indexing progress.
▪ Identifies emerging research areas and proposes thematic special issues.
▪ Ensures balanced representation of disciplines, methodologies, and regions in the publication portfolio.
Deputy Editor for Sports Performance: Oversees research related to exercise physiology, biomechanics, coaching science, training methodology, and athletic performance analysis. Ensures that studies in sports performance are methodologically rigorous, evidence-based, and integrative in approach, bridging scientific theory, applied practice, and technological innovation to advance human performance and well-being.
Deputy Editor for Sports Medicine, Health, and Well-Being: Oversees research focusing on sports medicine, injury prevention, rehabilitation, physical activity, and holistic health promotion. Ensures that submissions in this area are clinically relevant, scientifically rigorous, and interdisciplinary in scope, integrating perspectives from medicine, physiology, public health, and exercise science to enhance health, performance, and overall well-being through sport and physical activity.
Deputy Editor for Sport Psychology and Mental Health: Oversees research addressing psychological theory, mental health, motivation, emotional regulation, stress management, and cognitive performance in sport and exercise contexts. Ensures that publications in this field are theoretically grounded, empirically sound, and applicable to real-world sport settings, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across psychology, neuroscience, coaching science, and human performance to promote mental well-being and resilience in athletes and active populations.
Deputy Editor for Technology and Innovation in Sport: Oversees research exploring emerging technologies, data analytics, wearable devices, motion capture, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in sport and physical activity. Ensures that studies in this area are methodologically rigorous, innovative, and application-oriented, integrating insights from engineering, computer science, biomechanics, and performance analysis to advance evidence-based practice and technological progress in the sports domain.
Deputy Editor for Sports Economics: Oversees research related to the economic, financial, and managerial dimensions of sport, including sports management, market dynamics, event economics, governance, policy, and labor markets. Ensures that contributions are analytically robust, empirically grounded, and globally relevant, integrating approaches from economics, management, data science, and public policy to enhance understanding of the economic structures and societal impacts of sport.
Deputy Editor for Sociocultural Aspects of Sport: Oversees research examining the social, cultural, ethical, and historical dimensions of sport and physical activity. Ensures that studies in this area are conceptually rigorous, contextually informed, and globally relevant, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue across sociology, anthropology, philosophy, education, and cultural studies. Promotes scholarship that explores sport’s role in inclusion, equality, identity, community development, and social change within diverse societies.
Managing Editor
Role: Supervises submission processing, peer review workflow, and production. Ensures author communication, metadata accuracy, and publication ethics compliance.
Associate Editors

Sport Psychology and Mental Health Associate Editor: Assists in evaluating research related to mental health, motivation, stress management, cognition, and emotional resilience in sport and exercise. Promotes publications that are empirically grounded, ethically sound, and practically impactful, connecting insights from psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral science to improve athlete welfare and performance.
Technology and Innovation in Sport Associate Editor: Oversees submissions focused on artificial intelligence, wearable devices, motion analysis, data analytics, and digital transformation in sport. Encourages research that is technologically innovative and methodologically precise, integrating engineering, data science, and sport performance to advance the digital evolution of sport and physical activity.
Sports Economics Associate Editor: Supports the editorial management of research on the economic and financial aspects of sport, including sports management, market analysis, event economics, sponsorship, and governance. Promotes contributions that are analytically rigorous, policy-relevant, and globally comparative, advancing understanding of the economic systems and business dynamics driving sport.
Sociocultural Aspects of Sport Associate Editor: Assists in reviewing scholarship exploring the social, cultural, ethical, and community dimensions of sport.
